NEWS: New Government Tax for Cruises in Greece


Starting from 21 July 2025, all passengers disembarking at Greek ports, including infants and children, will be required to pay a mandatory tax. The amount varies depending on the port and the time of year:

Mykonos and Santorini:

  • July–September 2025: €20 per person per port
  • October 2025 and April–May 2026: €12 per person per port
  • November 2025–March 2026: €4 per person per port

Other Greek ports:

  • July–September 2025: €5 per person per port
  • October 2025 and April–May 2026: €3 per person per port
  • November 2025–March 2026: €1 per person per port

The management and collection of the tax are the responsibility of the cruise line. For payment details and procedures, please contact your cruise company directly. No refunds, free cancellations, or cruise modifications will be granted in response to claims related to this tax.
