COOKIE POLICY

This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Information on the Processing of Personal Data and is drafted in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the guidelines of European supervisory authorities.

1. Data Controller The Data Controller of the data collected through cookies is Digitaltrend Italia Srl, with registered office in Milan, owner of the Cruisetopic brand. For any questions relating to this policy, you can contact the Controller at the e-mail address: privacy@cruisetopic.net.

2. What are Cookies? Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send and record on their computer or mobile device, to be retransmitted to the same sites at the next visit. Thanks to cookies, a site remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as, for example, login data, the chosen language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to visit said site or navigates from one page to another of it. Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and storage of information regarding the activities of users accessing a site. They can also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking of the user's navigation within the site for statistical or advertising purposes.

3. Types of Cookies Used and Purposes This site uses different categories of cookies:

  • Technical Cookies (Strictly Necessary): These cookies are essential for the correct functioning of the site and to allow the user to use the requested services (e.g., managing the shopping cart, booking a cruise, accessing reserved areas). Without these cookies, some parts of the site would not function correctly. They do not require the user's prior consent.

  • Analytical Cookies: Used to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, on the number of users and how they visit the site. They help the Controller understand which pages are most visited and identify any technical problems. If fully anonymized, they are equated to technical cookies and do not require consent.

  • Functionality Cookies: They allow the site to remember the choices made by the user (such as language or selected products) to improve the browsing experience and provide personalized features. They require the user's consent.

  • Profiling Cookies (Advertising): These cookies are used to track the user's navigation on the web and create profiles on their tastes, habits, and choices. They allow for the display of targeted advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during navigation. They require the user's explicit consent.

4. Third-Party Cookies While browsing this site, the user may also receive cookies from sites or web servers other than the one they are visiting (so-called "third-party" cookies). This happens because the site may contain elements such as images, maps, social media plugins (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), or integrated video services (e.g., YouTube) that reside on servers other than the one where the requested page is located. Cruisetopic does not have direct control over these cookies; therefore, the user is invited to consult the privacy and cookie policies of the respective third parties.

5. Consent Management Upon the first access to any page of the site, a banner is displayed containing a brief information notice and a link to manage cookie preferences. The user can:

  • Accept all cookies: By clicking the "Accept all" button (or similar).

  • Refuse non-necessary cookies: By clicking the "Refuse" button (or similar), only technical cookies will remain active.

  • Customize preferences: By accessing a dedicated area where it is possible to choose specifically which categories of cookies to authorize. The choice made by the user will be recorded in a specific technical cookie for a period of 6 months, after which the banner will be proposed again. The user can change their preferences at any time through the link present in the site's footer.

6. Duration of Cookies Cookies can have different durations:

  • Session Cookies: They are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

  • Persistent Cookies: They remain on the user's device until a preset expiration date or until their manual deletion. The specific duration of each cookie is detailed in the preference management area.

7. Cookie Management via Browser Settings The user can manage cookie preferences also directly within their own browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing them. Through browser preferences, it is also possible to delete cookies installed in the past. It is important to note that by disabling all cookies, the functioning of this site could be compromised. Information on how to manage cookies in your browser can be found at the following addresses:

  • Google Chrome

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Apple Safari

  • Microsoft Edge This management method is to be considered additional and not a substitute for the consent tool provided by the site.

8. Rights of the Data Subject As a data subject, you have the right to exercise the rights provided for by articles 15-22 of the GDPR, including the right of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. For the exercise of these rights, you can refer to what is specified in the full Privacy Policy or contact the Controller at the address: privacy@cruisetopic.net.
