Carnival Imagination was one of the first to enter "Fun Ships" and now, after an expensive renovation in 2008 - Carnival has added modern touches to an environment that has now lost its original luster. The Promenade has been enriched with a nightclub, lounges, casino, café and sushi bar. The 2008 renovation introduced the Carnival WaterWorks, with jets, a giant screen, and sprinklers galore created for kids of all ages. Another novelty is the delightful Serenity Area for adults, a touch of tranquility, directly on the sea. Families will note that the ship now has 50 connecting staterooms and an upgraded Camp Carnival where children of all ages (2-17) can enjoy themselves in the water park, treasure hunt or teen nightclubs. Carnival Imagination remains a good ship for a great vacation, and with the makeover it looks almost new even though many balcony staterooms are still missing. It is in great demand by all those who love an informal style and family comfort.
