Celebrity Cruises has designed a bespoke vessel for navigation in the Galapagos archipelago. Celebrity Flora is a 100-passenger boat with all-suites with floor to ceiling windows, with the latest ecological operating system and all comforts. It debuted on May 26, 2019. An example of an environmentally friendly system is the anchorless technology, capable of holding the ship's position, thus protecting the seabed. Furthermore, from an energy point of view, it is able to have a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and lower air emissions thanks to an advanced propulsion system, a unique hull configuration and specially designed diesel engines. The ship also has the ability to convert seawater condensate and air conditioning into fresh water, as well as providing in-room water filtration stations for further purification.
