Ventus Australis was launched in January 2018 as sister to Stella Australis, both owned by the Chile-based expedition cruise company, Australis. Both ships operate three-, four-, and seven-night itineraries in the Southern Hemisphere during the summer, from September to April, between Ushuaia in Argentina and Punta Arenas in Chile, exploring the sounds and misty creeks, forested islands, and huge glaciers of Tierra del Fuego and Chilean Patagonia.
