Disney Cruise Line is an extension at sea of ??the magnificent experience on land, offered by some of the cruise ships best suited to families at sea, with the opportunity to meet princesses, Mickey and the friends, and also offering experiences for the adults. Most of the guests will be multi-generational families and groups, but you will also find a sprinkling of honeymooners and childless couples (especially on Alaska itineraries) who appreciate oversized cabins and areas reserved for adults.
The most popular activities on a Disney cruise ship vary by age. Kids (and their parents) love being able to interact with Disney characters in a much smaller environment than theme parks; characters can call children by name during the cruise and there are scheduled welcome sessions on the ship and on the private island. On two ships, children and adults alike flock to AquaDuck, the first ever water coaster on a cruise ship.
The company has already announced the construction of two new ships which will be launched in 2021 and 2023. The fleet that now counts 4 ships will include 7 by 2023. Thanks to the growing success of the company, cruise itineraries do not cease to diversify, for example by adding cruises to Alaska, the archipelago of Hawaii and New England.
