KORCULA

Korcula is an island near the southern tip of Croatia. Through the centuries, Korcula was controlled by the Greeks and Romans, and the rival fleets of Venice and Genoa also fought to occupy the land before they were both parts of a united Italy. It is worth a stroll through the alleys of the old town which still exudes the influence of Venice.
